In 2010, HELP acquired 5 Singer sewing machines for the Amman Mahaleer girls home and paid for teachers to provide training in dress making and sewing.

The village of Komari was completely washed away by the tsunami in 2004. Following a visit in July 2005, the Trustees of HELP linked up with CFDR to assist in the construction of temporary houses for the families of the village who were displaced by the tsunami.
